Quandary Consultants seek a dynamic leader to expand our Air Quality program. This role involves leading the growth and development of our Air Quality program, cultivating client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, providing technical expertise and oversight, while being an effective people leader and fostering our culture of continuous improvement, personal growth, and accountability, in line with the “Quandary Way.” The ideal candidate will have a blend of leadership skills, solid financial and business acumen, technical expertise in air quality, with a desire to work in an exciting and dynamic work environment.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Responsible for leading all team members within the Air Quality Program
Responsible for ensuring direct reports are leading those that they manage effectively and in line with Quandary policies and procedures
Responsible for continuously evaluating resource needs and collaborating with HR to hire technical or management team members when necessary to foster growth
Responsible for delegating work, ensuring efficient workflow to the appropriate team members to both their direct reports and all those in the program
Responsible for mentoring and training direct reports and all those who are in the program when necessary
Responsible for timely performance reviews for direct reports ensuring they are doing the same for theirs per Quandary’s policies and procedures
Leadership Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the Air Quality Program, including our permitting and compliance group and air monitoring program, overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic direction
Develop and execute a multi-year strategic growth plan for the Air Quality program to align with Quandary’s objectives. Ensure the financial viability of strategic growth decisions with assistance and oversight from the Sr. Operations Director, Finance Director, and Owners
Accountable for utilization, billing rates, revenue growth, and gross margins
Evaluate, improve, and implement/update internal program tools, processes, procedures, for effective and efficient project execution
Develop and maintain client relationships, understanding their unique needs to propose creative consulting solutions
Actively develop new business opportunities outside of current clientele and assist Quandary overall by cross selling our other services to existing and potential clients
Proactively seek out and participate in trade and professional associations to support networking and business development
Stay current with industry trends
Ensure project timelines and deployments are effectively managed and maintained
Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects
Monitor federal, state, and local air quality regulations and rulemakings
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental or chemical engineering, or related field
15+ years of experience in technical air quality consulting, regulatory, or private industry
5+ years of effective leadership and managerial experience, leading and mentoring a team of direct reports, preferably with multiple layers of management
10+ years of proven experience effectively managing projects, meeting budgets, and being the main point of communication for client contact
Experience interpreting complex state and federal regulations to determine applicability to varying client facilities and scenarios
Familiarity with oil and gas equipment, operational practices, field environment, technical and engineering terms related to these practices
Advanced degree, leadership accreditations or course completions, and strategic planning experience a plus.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time
Inclement weather when field visits are required
Occasional travel may be required, including an overnight stay
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Expected Salary: $165,000.00 - $195,000.00 DOEJob Type: Full-time Exempt

This position will support various new and existing air quality permitting and compliance Oil and Gas projects like preparation of emission inventories, permit application development, regulatory review, compliance recordkeeping, greenhouse gas reporting, air monitoring, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:Perform air compliance and permitting tasks.
Conduct air emissions calculations for permitting, emissions inventories, annual compliance reporting, and greenhouse gas reports.
Conduct peer review of teammates’ calculations and reports, providing constructive feedback.
Prepare and submit air permit applications to state and federal agencies.
Utilize emissions modeling software.
Become proficient in state, federal, tribal, and local air compliance and permitting regulations and assist clients in implementing operational and reporting requirements.
Periodic short-duration day trips to client field sites to conduct site inspections and support air monitoring programs may be required.
At times, overnight client work may be required, but is not expected.
Assist in preparation, deployment, and all sampling aspects of air monitoring activities.
Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental compliance in all job aspects.
Provide guidance to clients for site design/operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
Act as a liaison between clients and regulatory agencies.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify safety risks, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.

Familiarity with oil and gas equipment, operational practices, field environment and technical and engineering terms related to these practices.
Ability to read complex state and federal regulations to determine applicability to varying client facilities and scenarios.
Monitor federal, state, and local air quality regulations and rulemakings.
Participate in trade and professional associations to support the above responsibilities.
Demonstrates initiative by appropriately taking charge of situations.
Strong verbal skills and ability to lead meetings with staff on air quality permitting and compliance.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field required.
3-8+ years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance, environmental consulting, or a related field.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time

Environmental Field Technician will support field staff with environmental screening, sampling, analysis, and evaluation of site conditions. Works with subcontractors and others to support and guide site work. Evaluates sample results in support of site recommendations and to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Actively participate in safety programs and support a safe work culture.

Ability to operate sampling equipment and field screening equipment.
Oversee the installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
Interpret and manage spatial data using ESRI products, Google Earth, or similar platforms.

Quandary Consultants LLC is looking for an Environmental Field Technician to join our growing team of diverse professionals for seasonal work between May 1, 2026, through August 31, 2026, with potential to extend employment permanently. Quandary is a full-service environmental and regulatory consulting firm based in Denver, Colorado. This position will be part of Quandary Consultants’ Natural Resources Team. The position will perform natural resource fieldwork and assist in report writing. This includes field surveys and assessments for wildlife, native/non-native vegetation, wetlands, and surface waters. In addition, the position will perform noxious weed and wildlife management mapping and treatment. The position is primarily composed of local and overnight fieldwork and a mix of report writing. Overnight fieldwork occurs on average one or more times a month, depending on project schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of disciplines, and a willingness to learn new skills and disciplines.
Duties/Responsibilities:Independently and collaboratively conduct natural resources and environmental fieldwork in remote and urban locations, including active construction and sites with active operations;
Conduct desktop assessments and field surveys for wildlife and vegetation, and assess potential wetlands and other Waters of the U.S. and Waters of the State;
Collect detailed, accurate scientific field data for multiple wildlife species, vegetation, habitats (migratory birds, eagle nests and roosts, burrowing owls, prairie dogs, etc.), and environmental resources (e.g. groundwater, surface water, soils, wetlands);
Collect and manage data using ESRI software, Arc GIS Field Maps (Survey 123), Google Earth, or similar platforms during field work.
Perform noxious weed and wildlife management surveys and treatments;
Draft project specific client deliverables including memos, reports, and/or maps for internal review following Quandary templates;
Perform environmental sampling and inspections for various environmental programs;
Actively participate in safety programs and support a safe work culture;
Other duties as assigned.
Other duties supporting Quandary programs:
Collect soil and groundwater samples according to established protocol and regulations;

Collect baseline water quality samples, and create and submit agency filings;
