    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ability to read complex state and federal regulations to determine applicability to varying client facilities and scenarios.

    • Monitor federal, state, and local air quality regulations and rulemakings.

    • Participate in trade and professional associations to support the above responsibilities.

    • Demonstrates initiative by appropriately taking charge of situations.

    • Strong verbal skills and ability to lead meetings with staff on air quality permitting and compliance.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related field required.

    • 3-8+ years of experience in air quality permitting and compliance, environmental consulting, or a related field.

    Gather, process, and communicate data relating to the company's environmental and social impact and performance, and assist with programs to improve in these areas.

    Assist operational program managers with supply and resource management, including equipment inventory and storage.

    Perform tasks related to Process Improvement and efficiency of Operations.

    Work with operational program managers to assist in process improvements at project, program, and organizational levels;

    Data gathering and organization, SOP, and technical document writing, and documenting internal workflows.

    Work with finance, business development, and other support teams to implement process improvements as needed within the operational functional groups.

    Assist in administering project management and finance software (Unanet), including data audits and report and data visualization development as needed by operational teams, including.

    Developing program or project-specific dashboards and reports, reporting on data related to operational and financial KPIs for projects and the organization, developing ad-hoc reports or other solutions for operational groups and projects.

    This position will be part of Quandary Consultants’ Natural Resources Team. The position will perform natural resource fieldwork and assist in report writing. This includes field surveys and assessments for wildlife, native/non-native vegetation, wetlands, and surface waters. In addition, the position will perform noxious weed and wildlife management mapping and treatment. The position is primarily composed of local and overnight fieldwork and a mix of report writing. Overnight fieldwork occurs on average one or more times a month, depending on project schedules. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of disciplines, and a willingness to learn new skills and disciplines.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Independently and collaboratively conduct natural resources and environmental fieldwork in remote and urban locations, including active construction and sites with active operations;

    • Conduct desktop assessments and field surveys for wildlife and vegetation, and assess potential wetlands and other Waters of the U.S. and Waters of the State;

    • Collect detailed, accurate scientific field data for multiple wildlife species, vegetation, habitats (migratory birds, eagle nests and roosts, burrowing owls, prairie dogs, etc.), and environmental resources (e.g. groundwater, surface water, soils, wetlands);

    • Collect and manage data using ESRI software, Arc GIS Field Maps (Survey 123), Google Earth, or similar platforms during field work.

    • Perform noxious weed and wildlife management surveys and treatments;

    • Draft project specific client deliverables including memos, reports, and/or maps for internal review following Quandary templates;

    • Perform environmental sampling and inspections for various environmental programs;

    • Actively participate in safety programs and support a safe work culture;

We provide environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, air quality, remediation, weed management, stormwater management, and other environmental services to clients throughout the country.

    This position would work within the Natural Resource group to assist with project management and project deliverables. Main tasks would include assisting with project deliverables and proposals, making sure projects stay on task and on budget, assist with staff scheduling, and completing fieldwork where needed. This position will primarily assist with office work, but some field work will be required depending on workload, estimate 25% of the year will be doing field work. Fieldwork may require overnight stays.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Project management of multiple, simultaneous projects for different clients in different industries in a dynamic work environment.

    • The position will assist with natural resource field work and report writing. This includes field surveys for wildlife, vegetation and wetland assessments as needed.

    • Coordinate scheduling, data transfer, and reporting with other field staff and project managers.

    • Create new project scopes, budgets, and designs.

    • Experience developing, implementing, and managing environmental, health, and safety policies and supporting culture of workplace safety.

    • Independently conduct and lead fieldwork efforts.

    • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff.

    • Create educational materials for internal training purposes and lead staff training efforts.

    • Consult with federal, state, and local agencies on regulatory issues.

    • Business development and management of client relations.

    • Create, review, and improve client deliverables including written reports and maps.

    • Independently and collaboratively conduct natural resources and environmental fieldwork in remote and urban locations, including active construction and sites with active operations.

    • Conduct desktop assessments and field surveys for wildlife and vegetation projects and assess potential wetlands and other Waters of the U.S. and Waters of the State.

    • Collect detailed, accurate scientific field data for multiple wildlife species, vegetation, habitats (migratory birds, eagle nests and roosts, burrowing owls, prairie dogs, etc.), and environmental resources (e.g., groundwater, surface water, soils, wetlands).

    • Collect and manage data using ESRI software, Arc GIS Field Maps (Survey 123), Google Earth, or similar platforms during field work. Assist with post processing of GPS data.

    • Expand working knowledge of various environmental disciplines.

    • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

    Key Capabilities/Skills:

    • Possess working knowledge of relevant Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements (e.g., ESA, NEPA, CWA, MBTA)

    • Self-sufficient, self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

    • Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to a scientific and non-scientific audience.

    • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instruction, work independently, and comply with company policies.

    • Ability to work in locations that feature rough terrain and remote locations alone with minimal supervision.

    • Key specialty areas preferred such as Wildlife Biology, Vegetation, Wetlands, etc.

    • Interpret and manage spatial data using ESRI suite of products, Google Earth, and similar platforms.

    • Valid driver's license and safe driving record

    • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.

    Education/Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field, preferred.

    • At least 3 Years of experience in a position requiring data management and interpretation.

    • Experience in an engineering, consulting, or other technical field; or with contracting work where operational success depends on doing actual technical tasks.

    • PMI Certifications, preferred.

    • Health and safety certifications/knowledge, preferred.

    Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged sitting at desk completing office work.

    • Fieldwork can experience inclement weather conditions, such as extremely hot or cold temperatures.

    • Fieldwork can require daily travel with extended hours driving to and from client sites.

    • Walking long distance over rugged terrain to field locations, be prepared to carry soil samples, shovels, or other similar equipment Ability to lift and carry heavy object, up to 50 pounds.

    Expected Salary: $80,000-$115,000 DOE.

    Job Type: Full-time Exempt

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week average

    Work Location: Denver, CO: Reliably commute to Denver office daily.
